Jan van Veen is an independent Dutch photojournalist and documentary photographer. His works have been featured in newspapers and publications, and has been involved in human interest documentary projects. He has been commissioned several times by international organizations to document projects in many parts of the world such as Liberia, Somalia, Sudan, Bosnia, Tadzhikistan, Zimbabwe and Indonesia. Veen is currently working on a photo-story project concerning ship-building in The Netherlands. His online gallery contains images from the documentary projects he has undertaken, as well as an archive of the many photo stories he has produced.
